Stumbled across two interesting and creative video shorts today based around the alphabet and type on Vimeo, so decided to try and embed them in this blog post. I hasten to add this is not my work, and I take no credit for any of the animations linked to on this page! I think the videos were created by http://www.n9ve.it/. All credit to them for some nice work. I’d like to spend some time getting into video and animation myself – but so far time does not permit – maybe one day in the future!
This video is called ‘Alphabet 2’. It’s a great short animation. From the vimeo page: The Alphabet 2- a horn book video experiment – is a developmental spelling – video where each character visually represents the meaning of the word itself. Playing with different techniques and materials into little and big spaces, but always focusing on Helvetica font’s proportions. A collection of words in a delightful spelling-video. Credits are also on the vimeo page here.
